Ahsahta Press

Ahsahta Press (ah-SAH-ta, from the Mandan word for a Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep) was founded in 1974 at Boise State University as an all-poetry press. Ahsahta holds poetry to the standard of art, and seeks out work that surprises--is technically accomplished, thematically fresh, and unlike anything else. We publish six books a year, one of which is winner of our annual Sawtooth Poetry Prize contest.
