Brian Volck is a writer that joined LitList on March 15, 2010. His prose has appeared in DoubleTake, America, IMAGE and The Christian Century, and his poetry in The Sow's Ear Review and St. Anthony Messenger. He is co-author of Recovering the Body: Christians and the Faithful Use of Modern Medicine (Brazos Press, 2006). He received his MFA from Seattle Pacific University and he keeps his day job as a pediatrician at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He is a regular contributor to the Good Letters blog a imagejournal.org and he is now researching a book on the intersection of disease, culture and history among the Navajo.
