J.D. Smith

I have published two collections of poetry, The Hypothetical Landscape (1999) and Settling for Beauty (2005), and one children's book, The Best Mariachi in the World (2008). My one-act play "Dig" was produced at London's Old Red Lion Theatre in 2010. My first essay collection, Dowsing and Science, is forthcoming from Texas Review Press. My work has appeared in American Book Review, Boulevard, Chelsea, Exquisite Corpse, the Los Angeles Times, Nimrod and Pleiades.

I am currently circulating two collections of poetry and working on projects in several genres.
